Block Oven – Aging Oven offers precise thermal regulation, designed for conducting aging tests on elastomeric materials in both air and liquids. These tests simulate conditions at temperatures up to 250°C, in accordance with ASTM D 471, ISO 188, 1817, and 865 standards.
Aging tests serve the purpose of evaluating how characteristics of a material change before and after exposure to aging processes. The most commonly measured attributes before and after aging include:
Block Oven – Aging Oven tool for conducting accelerated aging tests in air or liquid environments, but also equips you with the necessary instruments for precisely measuring changes in material properties and generating comprehensive reports.

The Block Oven – Aging Oven is equipped with the following characteristics:
The Block Oven – Aging Oven features a timer that can be conveniently set within a range of 0 to 99 hours and 59 minutes. Once the designated test time elapses, the instrument is programmed to automatically halt its operation. This timer function enables the initiation of aging cycles, ensuring the test concludes autonomously even when the operator is not present.
The Block Oven – Aging Oven is equipped with the following characteristics:
The Block Oven – Aging Oven Features accommodates four glass tubes, each with dimensions measuring 38 mm in diameter and 300 mm in length. These glass tubes serve as receptacles for the specimens. The provided fasteners facilitate the secure placement and locking of the specimens within the tubes. Additionally, fixing mechanisms are included to ensure proper positioning of the specimens within the tubes, preventing direct contact with the inner walls of the glass tubes.
The glass tubes employed for conducting tests in accordance with ASTM D865 are sealed at their upper ends using PTFE plugs. These plugs are equipped with apertures, specifically designed to accommodate the insertion of the required glass pipes essential for executing the hot air aging test as per ASTM D865 standards.
When conducting aging tests involving volatile liquids, the utilization of condensation columns linked to a water supply becomes imperative. These condensation columns serve the purpose of condensing the volatile components within the test liquid. This condensed substance then trickles back down into the tube, ensuring that the quantity and composition of the liquid within the glass tubes remain consistent. It's possible to attach a condensation column to each individual test tube, thereby enabling precise control over the condensation process.
Included with the Block Oven – Aging Oven are two detachable side supports, intended for storing unused glass tubes. These supports can be easily taken off, effectively reducing the overall size of the instrument when needed.
