Qualitest offers a full range of capillary rheometers that offer state-of-the-art features and will meet the demands of a 24-hour-a-day shop floor operation while maintaining the highest possible level of accuracy, repeatability, and sensitivity for R&D applications. Qualitest line of capillary rheometers is versatile and easy to use yet they offer the most sophisticated materials characterization, data analysis, and reporting capabilities. Our Capillary Rheometers are available with 10 or 25kN load cells, single or double-barrel configuration, and optional features to meet all the needs of QA and R&D in the industry.
Capillary Rheometer - LCR 7000 is designed to meet the demands of a 24-hour-a-day shop floor operation whilst maintaining the highest possible level of accuracy, repeatability and sensitivity. the LCR series rheometers are versatile and easy to use yet they offer the most sophisticated materials characterization, data analysis and reporting capabilities. They are equally useful for routine quality assurance testing and for research, development and troubleshooting applications. Although primarily designed for polymers and rubbers, these instruments are also useful with a wide range of materials such as foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, bitumens, and other extrudable materials.
The Capillary Rheometer - LCR 7000 is fitted as standard with a 10kN load cell, the Capillary Rheometer - LCR7001 has a 10kN load cell and a barrel-mounted 1,400 bar (20,000 psi nom) melt pressure transducer, and the Capillary Rheometer - LCR7002 is a dual barrel version with dual 1,400 bar melt-pressure transducers. Many years of service are ensured through the use of tungsten carbide dies and a hardened and honed tool steel barrel.
LAB KARS advanced rheology software provides programming, control, analysis, and data storage capability. It is extremely useful to be able to monitor the load on the piston and the pressure just above the die entrance as some materials can bridge or "freeze" under pressure - e.g. filler particles can lock up, and some materials can stress crystallize. This can lead to a full load on the piston which is not transmitted to the material where the pressure transducer is located.
Features: Bagley and Rabinowitsch Corrections, Carreau, Modified Cross, Power Law and polynomial curve fits, Arrhenius Temperature fit, statistical error estimation, shear rate dependence, time at temperature relationship, critical shear stress, zero shear viscosity, intrinsic viscosity correlation
