Hydrostatic Pressure Tester helps University to test and study the fundamental behaviour of burst testing for pipes

Hydrostatic Pressure Tester QT-HPT Series is designed to determine the resistance of thermoplastics pipes and short-time hydraulic burst to constant internal water pressure at a constant temperature. It is applicable to thermoplastic pipes intended for the conveyance of fluids. It conforms to ASTM D1598, ASTM D1599 and IS0 1167.

ASTM D1598 Standard Test Method for Time-to-Failure of Plastic Pipe Under Constant Internal Pressure. This test method covers the determination of the time-to-failure of both thermoplastic and reinforced thermosetting/ resin pipe under constant internal pressure. It provides a method of characterizing plastics in the form of pipe under the conditions prescribed.

Our recently delivered state of the art system will help this customer test and study the fundamental behaviour of burst testing for pipes. During their phase one, they are going to study pipes and provide real-time feedback to the manufactures. Since the QT-HPT is designed to operate for over 10,000 hours, it can handle most long term tests and also the quick tests as needed. Their next phase involves dynamic testing and we are looking forward to meeting their needs again. We work with all our clients to understand and meet their needs when possible.

The system was configured to run 5 independent tests and at the max pressure of 16mPa. This will allow the testing of 5 pipes up to 10,000 hours. The number of tests and max pressures can be customized as needed. Recently we have even designed a tester for up to 15,000 hours which is very promising for our clients that need it. The tank can also be customized as needed and is based on the pipes to be tested. We have different configurations that are available for this unit. Please consult us if you are interested.
